During the 14th, 15th and 16th of June, the LTT of the project took place in Riga, Latvia. This training was based on the results and materials previously created in the project, encouraging the exchange of creative activities, manual workshops, cultural differences and other good practices among the participants. Below is an overview of what happened on the seecond day of training:

15th June 2023: Second day

The second day of the training started with the visit to the Cerību Ligzda (Nest of hope) centre, where the participants not only got to see and explore the facilities, but also witnessed one of the workshops. And not only that, but also had the opportunity to participate in it. The result? Our participants were able to take home some creative and original jars that they created together with the users of the centre.

After this activity, the day continued with a visit to the Cerību Dore centre, where the participants were able to observe first-hand how they work with people with mental disabilities. They were also able to meet some of the users and visit the “residence” floor where several families live together.

Finally, the morning ended with a visit to the Skaida centre, also for people with mental illness. Here participants were able to learn about the work of the centre and how they work manually with different materials such as wood.

In the afternoon, the participants enjoyed another creative art exhibition in which the works were made with different materials. Have a look at the pictures!

And this is how the second day of training ends!
