During the 14th, 15th and 16th of June, the LTT of the project took place in Riga, Latvia. This training was based on the results and materials previously created in the project, encouraging the exchange of creative activities, manual workshops, cultural differences and other good practices among the participants. Below is an overview of what happened on the first day of training:

14th June 2023: First day

The first day of training started in the most relaxing way possible. Early in the morning, participants were able to experience a relaxation session in which they practised one of the most effective techniques for relaxation: Progressive Muscle Relaxation. With this technique, through the tension and relaxation of all the muscle groups of the body, a physical and mental relaxation of the individual is achieved.

Next, it was time for the participants to show their creativity. The day continued with art therapy activities, in which the participants were able to show their best artistic skills while reflecting on their emotions and dreams.

Once the art therapy activities were over, the participants were able to enjoy testing their creativity once again in a new workshop. If it’s hard enough to draw yourself, imagine doing it without being able to take your pencil off the paper using a single line! Here are the results of this entertaining activity:

To end the day, the participants also trained their creative writing skills by doing a fun activity in groups. In this activity they all tried to find the best way to tell a story from different points of view: someone angry, someone sad, a news journalist… Once again the participants showed how by being creative they can create unimaginable stories.

In the afternoon the group went to the centre of Riga, where they visited the main monuments and walked through its beautiful streets, discovering all places and curiosities of the host city.
